Pitsford Water week ending 28 August

Fish week 36 (Season 4612) Returns 25 (820) Rod average 1.44 (5.6)

The fishing at Pitsford is starting to show signs of picking up.

Bank anglers are reporting some good catches from The Flats, Pitsford Creek, Sermons and Gravels with fish feeding hard on shrimp, snail and fry in the marginal weed beds. Boat fishing is tougher as it appears the fish have moved into the very shallow water, some being caught in as little as 2 feet of water.

As the water continues to cool we expect this to improve and with a large stocking due to take place later this week the fishing should improve greatly.

Water levels remain very good and water quality and clarity are excellent with an abundance of food.

Fish Stocked: 17000
