Ravensthorpe Reservoir - Northamptonshire's hidden gem
Whether it is to fish, to enjoy the abundance of wildlife or simply to get out and about in the great outdoors, our 114-acre Victorian reservoir in Ravensthorpe is the perfect place to visit.
Popular with anglers, trout and predator fishing, is available from the bank, by boat, kayak or float tube.
Bird watchers also flock to our reservoir to see our feathered friends in their natural habitats.
Opening Times
Ravensthorpe Water Park is open daily 364 days a year from 9am until dusk. Please check the car park open times at the entrance to every car park for daily opening hours
What will I find?
Birds, wildlife, insects, woodland, scenic waters and picture-perfect scenes. Our reservoir has it all.
In practical terms you’ll also find car parking, toilet facilities and a place to grab a hot drink.
Do you need a permit?
Permits are not required to visit at Ravensthorpe Water for walking or bird watching. Fishing permits are available from the Ravensthorpe Fishing Lodge (open 23rd February – 30th November). If you wish to fish from a boat we advise you to book via the Fishing Lodge on 01604 770875. Bank fishing outside these dates is permitted. Please purchase a vendor permit from the vendor hut located on the drive to the Fishing Lodge.
