The fishing lodge at Grafham Water overlooks the reservoir and is great for meetings and events in East Cambridgeshire. It’s close to the A1 and A14 roads and can be accessed easily from the Midlands, London and East Anglia. The venue has plenty of parking spaces and features a purpose-built meeting room.

Facilities and catering 

In the theatre-style setup, the meeting room can seat up to 30 people. If the tables are being used, it can accommodate 20 people. The room has access to Wi-Fi and is equipped with a TV, video projector and flipcharts for all your visual needs. The building is accessible and there are disabled facilities throughout.

You’ll be provided with biscuits as well as having access to hot drink facilities within the room. The Grafham Water Harbour View Café Bar is in the same building should you want to have a meal. 

How much does it cost?

The meeting room in the fishing lodge can be hired out at a price of £130 + VAT for a full day or just £70 + VAT for half a day. Everything listed above is included in the price.

Choose Rutland Water for your event if you’re looking for a peaceful backdrop with stunning views over the nature reserve or the harbour. Our venues are centrally positioned and is easily accessible from multiple locations such as Oakham, Stamford, Leicester, Nottingham, Peterborough and further afield. 

We have a number of rooms available to hire at Rutland Water, from our fantastic cafes, to the tranquil surroundings of our Birdwatching centre.

Egleton Birdwatching Centre

This is the perfect location for all kinds of small and large events with beautiful landscapes that can be enjoyed whatever the season. 

The setup of the room can be adapted to the needs of your event and the number of guests. The theatre-style layout is best suited for presentations and lectures and can seat up to 60 delegates. The boardroom style layout is best for a group meeting of up to 30 people. 
Catering can be added to your booking in the form of teas, coffee, or even a buffet lunch.

For more intimate events that require privacy, the small meeting room is the best option as it accommodates 6 people at maximum. For this meeting room catering is available to purchase individually 
from the Birdwatching Centre ‘Bird Table’.

Impress and delight your guests with a guided walk of the nature reserve delivered by one of our friendly and experienced wardens. Pre-booking is necessary for this optional extra, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

The rooms are equipped with AV facilities and refreshments will be available throughout your visit. 

Waterside Cafe Meeting Room

With panoramic views of the water, our Café meeting room is well equipped for team meetings, presentations and courses.
Depending on the needs of your meeting, we can arrange this smaller room in two different ways. A board meeting table for up to 10 people or a U-Shape 
for 8 people. You’ll have access to a range of audio visual equipment/wifi as well as refreshments being available throughout your visit, a variety of snack 
and lunch options. There are disabled facilities close at hand in the building and your delegates won’t have a problem with parking.
