Located within the stunning countryside of Suffolk, Alton Water Park stretches across some 400 acres and is the perfect place to while away an hour or a whole day.
If you are out for a leisurely stroll, then you are sure to benefit from the many walking trails and nature walks at Alton Water, for more adrenaline-filled action, there is the eight-mile cross country cycling track or a range of watersports on offer. There is also the opportunity to enjoy a day on the water fishing.

Currently water access has been temporarily closed due to blue green algae being detected. We are testing the water twice daily and will reopen the facilities once algal levels return to normal.
Please be assured the campsite and the remainder of the site remains open and fully operational for visitors wanting to walk or cycle around the reservoir, or to enjoy the tea room.

Alton Water Visitor Centre/Café Opening Times
1st April – 31st October: Mon – Sun 9am – 4.30pm
1st November – 31st March: Mon – Sun 9am – 3pm
Alton Water Park is open daily 364 days a year from 9am until dusk. Please check the car park open times at the entrance to every car park for daily opening hours
We have a designated picnic area which can be used in the warmer months, or during winter for the brave!
