Fish 505 (Season 11,549) Returns 112 (2,449) Rod average 4.5 (4.7)

The quality fish continue to come at Pitsford. The rod average for the week is 4.5 with the best brown for the week a fantastic specimen of 6lb 11oz taken by Tom Finney, one of many taken by Tom in recent weeks.

Several Rainbows have been reported at 4lb plus.

Boat anglers are finding a lot of fish around Sailing Club and Pines with fish coming to fry patterns. Humungus lures are catching many of the big browns.

Bank anglers are catching right in the margins on shrimp and fry, particularly in Bog Bay, Gravels and Sermans. Fish have been seen moving in the margins throughout the narrows and are feeding heavily.

Anglers are reminded that our Brown trout are out of season from 1 November until 31 March inclusive. If caught they must be returned to the water unharmed.

Mid Northants Trout Fishers Association are hosting open taster sessions on Saturdays as follows

3 November and 1 December 1-4pm.
