Those anglers brave enough to fish in the recent freezing weather conditions were rewarded. One boat angler had 14 fish to the boat and another managed 19. All of these fish were caught and safely released.
One of our regular anglers had 20 plus fish to the boat. He was introducing a newcomer to fly fishing. The beginner fished buzzers under the bung and was rewarded with 8 superb hard fighting Rainbow trout.
However, the fish of the week fell to a ten year old. Expertly guided by her grandad she landed a clonking 6lb 8oz Rainbow along with 3 other Rainbows to 3lb 4oz.
