Rod Average - 9.0

Ravensthorpe is in great form, with a fantastic rod average of 9.  The best of the fishing at Ravensthorpe is coming to the boats, with plenty of fish being caught around by the island.  Fish up to 5lb have been reported.

Most methods are catching with the top fly being buzzer, however Diawl bachs and crunchers are also getting a mention - we've even heard of the odd fish coming to dries.  Floating line and midge tips can be used to great effect when the fish are really switched on, with washing line, bung or straight lining buzzers all working depending on conditions.

Ravensthorpe can be fickle and can switch on and off quickly - when there is an active buzzer hatch sport can be frantic but can quickly go quiet outside of these hatches -   Anglers can pick up bonus fish by pulling lures either side of these hatches,  with anything from Damsels, to Humongous and Snakes catching.
