An update for our anglers

Latest news for anglers

Following the Prime Minister’s recent ‘road map’ announcement, we can confirm that we are planning to open Rutland, Grafham, Pitsford and Ravensthorpe waters for Fly fishing for Trout from bank and boat from the 1 April.

We are really looking forward to welcoming our anglers back to our fisheries for the start of a new season. It’s business as usual with our fish stocking, which has continued as planned, along with our annual boat maintenance programme.

In the meantime we have measures in place for taking boat bookings.

Special arrangements for boat bookings
Based on the ‘road map’ the fishing lodges will be unable to open until 12 April at the earliest, so all boats booked between the 1 April and the 11 April will need to be pre-paid at the point of booking, the same as how we operated for much of last season. Boat fishing will be for either single anglers or two anglers, but not three anglers sharing until further notice.

We are unable to take telephone bookings until 15 March
As we are currently busy processing renewals for our season ticket holders over the telephone, we are temporarily suspending taking any boat bookings over the phone. We would like to complete the process of renewing our season ticket holders first and we estimate this process will be completed by 14 March. If you are a 2020 season ticket holder and have not been contacted yet, please be patient.

We will open the phone lines on all waters for April 1st-11th bookings from Monday 15 March and we will take full payment at the point of booking for any boats booked between these dates. Any existing boats booked in for these dates will be honoured and the customer will be contacted for payment from 15 March.
In the meantime, if you would like to book a boat beyond 11 April please email fishing@anglianwater.co.uk

Once the phone lines are open please ring the lodge direct you wish to book the boat at, with the exception of Ravensthorpe, their boats will need to be booked through Pitsford fishing lodge until the water opens on the 1 April.
