We have seen some strong bank fishing at Pitsford this week with a rod average of 5.1 and some cracking fish being caught. Perch fry patterns worked well for one of our regular anglers resulting in him catching and releasing a terrific 9lb 4oz Rainbow. There were plenty of other good Rainbows recorded including one of 7lb 12oz. We have seen good quality Browns returned to the water at over 5lb.
The Stone Barn bank was a good bank spot on Sunday with one angler catching and releasing 8 fish up to 3lb, using a floating line with fab on the point and two shrimp on droppers.
Following further guidance unfortunately fishing boat hire will be closed along with our retail shops during this current period of lockdown.
Fly fishing for trout on the bank will be permitted in line with our current Covid safe systems. Please call Pitsford Fishing Lodge on 01604 781350 between 8am and 2pm in advance to purchase your permit.
