Fish 502 (Season 9,191) Returns 98 (1,961) Rod average 5.1 (4.68)

Better weather this week has seen the bank fishing coming alive with reports of double figure catches. The best areas have been Stone Barn, Cliffs and North Arm shore, with snail and shrimp patterns proving the most effective methods. Dave Strudwick netted 14 at Stone Barn on shrimp.

Boats are still producing good catches on dries, washing line fry patterns along the Narrows and the main basin. The police match this week had 15 anglers who caught 48 fish. The best fish of the match was a 3lb 6oz Rainbow taken by Steve Fowler. The best Rainbow of the week weighed 6lb and was taken by Graham Pearson. Roy Anderson took the best Brown of the week which also weighed 6lb.

Throughout October our fishing lodges are open daily 8am-4pm.
