Pitsford Water Week Ending 25th June 2023

Fish week 81 (Season 5106) Returns 34 (632) Rod average 2.4 (8.0)

Pitsford has been difficult again this week. The water is perfectly clear but the surface is warm and the fish have been reluctant to feed for much of the day.

Bank anglers have caught the odd fish early or late on with Damsel or Shrimp patterns fished around the margins being the best approach.

From the boats there has been no set pattern with some catching in the top three feet while others have only caught on Sunk lines. Buzzers fished deep and static have caught some better fish while Intermediate lines and teams of Hares ear patterns have also taken fish in open water indicating that the fish are still feeding on Shrimp out in the middle. All anglers have reported seeing plenty of fish across the lake.

With the change in the weather conditions and cooler overcast conditions it should not be long before the fish turn back on and we can expect some bumper catches.
