Fish week 125 (Season 5058) Returns 34 (1008) Rod average 1.8 (5.01)

It has been a case of Ground Hog day this week at Pitsford with anglers fishing the same areas with great success and the main method being Shrimp patterns to target fish that are gorging on shrimp in the shallow water.

The Flats continues to be the hot spot on the lake though the boats have now started to find fish along the dam frontage and around P buoy area.

From the bank Sermons, Pines and Gravels have also fished with shrimp, snail and fry on the menu.

Boat anglers have caught on slow tip or floating lines with washing line tactics with diawls and crunchers doing the damage.

Best fish for the week was a fine Brown trout taken by season ticket holder Mr Hickman, the fish weighing 5lb2oz and being stuffed with shrimp though it fell to a size 12 black spider.

We have had a further stocking of 2500 quality fish from Oakford averaging 900g but with plenty being around the 3ld plus mark, taking the stocking in the last two weeks to 4250. With more fish due to go in over the next few weeks the improved fishing will be set to continue.

Fish Stocked: 21250 (2500 this week)
