Fish 406 (Season 6,346) Returns 78(1,055) Rod average 5.2 (6.0)

Pitsford continues to fish well with a rod average of 5.2 for the week.

Plenty of quality fish are being reported with Rainbows to 6lb and Browns to 10lb.

Fish are moving into the margins now so bank anglers are enjoying some excellent sport with fish feeding on shrimp, snails, fry and sedge patterns.

Boat anglers are finding fish through the Narrows and main bowl up to the Dam with floating or tip lines doing best.

Washing line tactics or dries are doing best out in open water.

East Midlands Fly Fishers hosted a Friday match with catch and release. On a difficult day 34 anglers caught 105 fish. The best boat recorded 14 fish caught with washing line tactics on fast glass lines with booby on point and muskins and diawls.

Graham Smith and Gavin Friell had a great day afloat on Saturday and had 24 fish to their boat on a combination of shrimp, diawl bach and black hoppers.

Bank anglers have also been catching into double figures with Duffers, Gorse, Pitsford Creek and Sermans all producing.

A further stocking on Monday will ensure the great sport will continue.

Fish stocked: 1,000.
