Rod average 4.5 (5.7)
Pitsford continues to produce plenty of fish with some excellent specimens reported and a rod average of 4.5 for the week. The best fish of the week was a superb Rainbow of 9lb 8oz. This was caught on a perch fry pattern, with three nice browns up to 6lb taken at the same time.
One of our regular anglers had a great day catching 14 fish with the best rainbow at 8lb.
The best brown for the week was a cracking fish of 6lb 2oz. This superb fish was taken by an angler on only his second cast during a beginners course taken by Peter Hartley. The fish took a small black booby hopper.
From 1 November we move to ‘winter boat’ prices with single man boat hire at £15 and two man boat hire at £21 for the rest of the season. Note there is no half day boat hire price now for the rest of the season. Boats are still available to go out from 8am across the fisheries.
Also, from 1 November dead baiting from the bank is permitted at Pitsford. Anglers can use a maximum of 3 rods, using dead sea baits only, these must be a minimum of 18cm long. Please note there is no lure/spinning fishing allowed from the banks. This season from 1 November there will be restrictions in place around the track, please contact the fishery for more detail.
