Grafham Water week ending 23rd April 2023

Fish Killed & Released - 1345, Returns- 105, Rod average- 12.8

Despite challenging weather at times Grafham fished exceptionally well this week with another incredible rod average of 12.8

Despite some strong easterly’s midweek, the boat fishing has been incredibly good with fish all over the lake but with large numbers still concentrated around savages and in front of the lodge.

Fish can still be deep at times, with methods varying form straight line buzzers, the bung (which on its days has been devastating) and pulling deep on anything from di7 up to di3).

With the strong North easterly winds the north shore was the only place to bank fish with fish caught from the Willows to the stumps.

On Sunday we hosted the latest round of the Renegades 6 x 4 series which fished to an incredible rod average of 15.5 with the Swifts once again emerging winners. Fish were caught in front of the nature reserve, rainbow corner, Savages and sanctuary bay, with the better fish being caught around Savages and S buoy with most fish being caught deep.

As the water warms we will expect the fish to start moving up in the water in a little, the outlook ahead at Grafham is incredibly positive with no sign of the incredible sport slowing.
