At Alton Water we are proud to offer some of the best fishing opportunities in Suffolk. With a population of pike, carp, bream and roach, our waters are perfect for both the amateur and the seasoned angler.
Whether you want to try your luck for a day, or want access to our internationally recognised waters all year round, we offer a variety of permits. Children under the age of 18 can fish for free.
Ardleigh reservoir is a large 120 acre reservoir located near Colchester. The reservoir holds specimen carp to over 40lb, pike to over 25lb and a mix of match fish species. Day and Season permits are available.
Coarse Fishing
Alton & Ardleigh both offer fantastic opportunities for coarse fishing whilst also taking in the views and wildlife found in these picturesque locations.
