Pitsford Water week ending 25 November

Fish 177 (Season 12,707) Returns 73 (2,756) Rod average 2.4 (4.6)

The headline of the week at Pitsford has to be season ticket holder Phil Jordan who landed a 14lb Brown trout whilst pike fishing.  In fact Phil had four good Browns of 14lb, 9½lb, 9lb and 6lb. He also had a 4lb Rainbow.

Overall the fishing has slowed a little but the fish are all quality with Rainbows averaging nearly 3lb plus and fighting fit. Morning sessions off the bank can be productive with shrimp feeders aplenty. Best areas are Pitsford Creek, Gravels, Stone Barn.

Boat anglers should try the slightly deeper water for the fry feeders as lots of fish are showing 75 yards off the Cliffs and Sailing Club bank.

Mid Northants Trout Fishers Association will be hosting an open taster session on Saturday 1 December 1-4pm.

Mid week boat winner:  Mark Talbot.

During November our fishing lodges will be open 8am to 2pm 7 days a week.
