Pitsford Water Week Ending 24th March 2024

Rod Average - 9.0

Anglers are still enjoying some great fishing on Pitsford with a rod average of 9 even though the weather conditions have been very changeable this week.

The nice Browns are again being reported with fish up to 6lbs. A variety of methods are still working with the most popular being nymphs and buzzers on washing line or bung or small lures on Intermediates.

The change in wind direction saw bank anglers fishing from the Sailing club bank where there were good numbers of fish caught on the above methods. Damsel type patterns also accounted for a lot of fish here when fished slowly on intermediate lines.

Boats continue to find sport in most areas but Stone barn seems to be coming into its own with reports of good numbers of fish being taken on buzzer patterns.
