Pitsford Water week ending 22 May

Fish Week 266 (Season 3528) Returns 47 (521) Rod average 5.6 (6.7)

Pitsford continues to fish well with fish seeming to have spread out and reports of fish being taken from most areas of the lake.

Floating lines and nymphs is still the best and most consistent method but small lures fished high in the water will also take fish.

Dam wall, main basin, Narrows and Stone Barn are all fishing both from bank and boat with Rigbys also worth a look.

Buzzers in black and Olive in sizes 12 and 14 are working along with red holo diawl bachs, black diawls or muskins, fished on a floating line either straight lined or on a washing line set up. Small black or olive lures and snakes are also working on floating or sink tip lines

Best Rainbow: 6lb

Fish Stocked: 1500, Season so far 15500

Forthcoming events: Beginners courses 28th May. Call 01604 781350 for information.
