Fish killed & released 116 (Season 6258) Returns 33 (894) Rod average 3.5 (7.0)

Shrimp continue to dominate the menu for the Trout on Pitsford being by far the most successful method for catching again this week.

Bank anglers are reporting some cracking fish coming to Hares ear shrimp patterns fished around the weed beds but interestingly they have commented that more fish were now taking small fabs or boobies fished on the point. This has been the theme for the boats too, with washing line tactics starting to dominate with tequilla fabs or boobies accounting for the majority of fish.

Another method which appeared to work over the weekend was deep fished buzzers. Anglers had spooned fish and noted that they had buzzer in them and matched the hatch finding the fish willing to take buzzers fished down on fast tip lines.

There has not been much activity to fry yet although they are showing, but another food source starting to turn up in the stomachs is snail and beetle.

Areas mentioned have been Duffers, Sermons, Grange Farm Creek, Pines and Main basin.
