Pitsford Water Week Ending 17th March 2024

Rod Average - 10.0

Pitsford is on fantastic form with bank and boat anglers catching good numbers of fish on a multitude of methods.

There are large amounts of buzzer coming off now and Shrimp are now appearing in the margins again making the bank fishing very successful. Equally the boats are catching well with the Pines, Cliffs and Sailing club all fishing well. In the deeper water sunk lines are also working. with snakes and Humungus patterns taking lots of fish.

Largest Brown for the week a nice specimen of 10lb2oz. Lots of Rainbows reported around the 4lb mark.

The water is now cleaning up and areas that had been slightly coloured are now clear so Stone Barn, Gravels and Bog bay are starting to fish.

On Sunday the local Mid Northants club held a bank match. This match fished to a rod average of 7 with anglers catching in all areas. Top rod was Matt Collerson with 12 fish including a best Rainbow of 3lb6oz.
