Pitsford Water week ending 14th August

Fish Week 55 (Season 4551), Returns 35 (765) Rod average 1.6 (5.9)

Pitsford continues to struggle in the current conditions. Water clarity remains really good and the level is still very good, only having dropped a few feet.

Weed growth is starting to show in some areas but again this is not too bad and there is signs of fish occasionally feeding in the margins but first and last thing. Some of the regular bank anglers are managing to winkle out odd fish but for the most part the fishing remains very challenging. With the forecast for the coming week showing a big drop in temperatures and rain forecast it is hoped that this will bring the water temperature down and bring the fish back on the feed.
