Grafham Water week ending 4th June 2023

Fish caught - 452 Fish returned - 308 Fish killed - 144 Returns - 83 Rod average -5.4

Despite of challenging conditions Grafham has continued to produce some good sport for Angler's over the past week.

The fish seem to be spread out into small groups across the reservoir, and as such there would appear to be no dominant area to concentrate your efforts. This is backed up by plenty of Angler's reporting 1 or 2 fish from numerous areas fished throughout the day. So, if you are planning a visit, we would strongly suggest staying mobile and fishing long drifts for best results.

Hare's ears, nymphs and dries have been catching well as have lure patterns fished deep

We are now starting to see plenty of the overwintered fish getting caught and lots in the 3lb bracket.

With 3000 more fish due for stocking in the week ahead, and unusually cool weather for this time of year. The excellent fishing looks as though it should continue for some time yet.

Tight lines and wet nets,
