Grafham Water week ending 14th April 2024

Rod average - 11.0

This week has been fantastic at Grafham despite unfavourable weather conditions.

Fishing the bank has been better on the south shore (probably due to the wind), with majority of fish taking buzzers although hares ear have been working well too and some reports of fish taking bloodworm patterns.

Fishing from a boat has seen countless fish coming out on the North shore and south alike, mainly dependant on weather conditions. Again there's been a majority of fish taking buzzers but we've had reports that fish are heavy on shrimps around south shore also. In general a slow retrieve (almost static) has been working very well.

Most fish have been coming out in great condition and good sizes too all the into the 6lb and beyond and only around a dozen reports of damaged fish.

Alongside the usual daily fishing we had 215 fish caught in the FFLR match averaging 21.5 fish per boat, reaching up to around 6.5lb.

All in all its been a fantastic week and we should see similar success as we come into the new week!
