Rod average - season 5.34
The Grafham Management, Ranger, Retail and Catering Team want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
On our last fishing report for this season we want to share the following recent feedback from our anglers with you:
A nice 7 pound brownie catch, just under half a dozen rainbows at hedge end, some lovely perch and a 72 cm Zander.
We are getting only a few catch returns at this time of year and the majority of the boats are booked out by predator anglers. Any interesting information we receive over the next few months will be shared via social media.
The very exciting news for this week are that next year’s season tickets have gone online. We are looking forward to spending another magnificent season with you. Seeing familiar and new faces on our banks, sharing the mornings on the pontoon together and enjoying the thrill of the competition days.
The main priority for the rangers over the next few months will be to focus on the boat maintenance to ensure that we keep providing a tip top fleet for you.
The bank clearance sessions are going to continue running until the end of February. The team have made fantastic progress on clearing the banks. The work is rewarding and the comradery is second to none. Please contact GWFFA or the Estates Manager if you would like to get involved.
Have a lovely festive period and a happy new year. Tight lines and see you soon, your Grafham Water Team
Online boat booking – We are pleased to announce our online boat booking system is now live!
Please be aware, from November the 13th onwards all boats bookings at Rutland, Grafham, Pitsford and Ravensthorpe will need to be paid for at the point of booking. The easiest and best way to book a boat is online at www.anglianwaterparks.co.uk
We strongly advise creating an account on our website (you will need an email address to do this). If you register an account, this will mean:
a) It will speed up any future boat bookings,
b) you can self-amend your booking up to 2 days before your trip – so a boat booked for Saturday can be self-amended up to Midnight Thursday.
c) staff can book a boat for you in the lodge (if you wanted to pay in cash for example)
d) Season ticket holders can keep tabs on how many fish they have taken for the season
You won’t need an account if you are a ‘walk-in’ and pay on the day without having pre-booked, however please note, from November the 13th we will no longer be able to process split boat payments in the lodge for walk-ins.
If you have any questions, please email our Retail and online manager Neil at: natkins2@anglianwater.co.uk
