Rutland Water Beach
Pack a picnic and your bucket and spade and head to Rutland Water beach. Located at Rutland Water’s North Shore, Rutland Water beach provides 140 metres of sandy shoreline and a 2,800m2 area for you to paddle and swim in.
When can I visit?
Whether it’s sunny or not, the Rutland Water beach is open all year round, though swimming is only permitted at designated times.
To make the most of the swimming area we recommend a visit during the school summer holiday. Outside of the school holiday season you can access the swimming area on selected weekends and weekdays during June to September.
Who can visit the beach?
Everyone! Except dogs. There are plenty of other dog-friendly locations at Rutland Water for your pooch to enjoy!
For your safety:
The safety of visitors to our beach is important to us. Which is why we have trained lifeguards on watch throughout the summer season. We also regularly check the wind speed and direction as well as water temperature throughout the summer season to ensure the conditions are right.
We have also posted safety signage around the beach – do be sure to pay attention to it – it’s important!
