Pitsford Water Week Ending 14th May 2023

Fish week 620 (Season 3731) Returns 77 (326) Rod average 8.1 (11.4))

Pitsford continues to fish extremely well with similar methods and areas continuing to produce some quality fish with another specimen double figure Brown trout coming to the net.

Highlight of the week must be season ticket holder Rob Keeber who caught another double figure Brown trout estimated to be around the 12lb mark. There have been a number of other Browns reported in the 5lb to 7lb mark with a good number of Rainbows up to 5lb.

Although fish have been found at most areas of the reservoir there are still some very popular hot areas. Bank anglers should try Gorse, Gravels, Sermons and Rigbys while the boats are favouring Stone Barn, Ash tree and Hell bays and Sailing Club. Buzzers and nymphs such as Diawls and Crunchers fished up in the water are working but for those who want to pull lures this will still catch with Humungous and snakes the popular choice.

The Tuesday evening boat club will be taking place this week so meet at the lodge just before 5pm if interested.
