Grafham Water week ending 3rd July

Grafham has fished well the past week and this is reflected in the 4.6 rod average. The mouth of savages has been particularly productive for boat anglers fishing dries, claret suspenders bobs bits and hoppers have caught well in this area. G buoy and the sludge bank have also fished well and a diesel nymph dial Bach or cruncher fished on a midge tip should put you on the fish. With water levels dropping the bank fishing should start to pick up again, especially along the North shore. Now that the hot weather has arrived fish tend to push out into deeper water during the day so early mornings or late evenings are recommended for best results. Corixa crunchers and shrimp would be a good starting point when selecting flies to fish
