Fish 339 (Season 10,086) Returns 88 (2,301) Rod average 3.85 (3.85)

Grafham Water has seen some exceptional days over the past week. In particular the predator fishing has been very exciting, with a number of large Pike in the 20lb range caught between the tower and Pig Bay. There also seems to be a good showing of Zander being caught in the deeper areas ahead of the Dam wall. Hopefully we shall see this continue week into the week as we prepare for the Pike Classic on 17 and 18 August. Fingers crossed all anglers involved have a great sporting experience and some large predators caught!

The dam wall remains the best spot for the bank angler, with the best times to fish being early morning and late evening. On Thursday there were plenty of anglers dotted along the wall enjoying the sport, only remember to stay low or to sit down to avoid spooking the wary fish.

The west bank by Savages remains a good spot for boat fishermen, as well as by the dam and the Boils. Many good catches were made during the week with fast retrieves and flashy lures.
