Many couples choose it due to its location close to the water and its classical and minimalist architecture. It can host up to 100 people and can be hired for civil ceremonies. An added bonus of the place is that you can choose between the front or the back of the church for your vows. Our event planners will be on hand to help you with any aspect of your ceremony. Wedding celebrations can carry on into the night at a marquee that can be set up in the park overlooking the water.

Rutland Water is conveniently located in the East Midlands and can be accessed easily from Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, Grantham and Peterborough. If you're driving from the West, you can arrive via A6003 or A47 and if you're getting here from the East you can take the A606 or A1, which is also a connection to the South-North axis. We have four car parks for you to choose from depending where you're coming from and where you're spending the day - Normanton, Sykes Lane, Whitwell & Barnsdale.
There are a few bus services from neighbouring cities that stop in Oakham. The town is also served by CrossCountry trains and is only 2 miles from the nature reserve.
