We understand that if the children are happy, parents are happy too. With this in mind our nature reserve has been designed to be as family friendly as possible.

Active children (and grownups!) can get out and about and enjoy the great outdoors at Taverham Mill. From a walk or jog around the trails to cycling and kite flying, there is plenty to keep even the most energetic of children happy.

When is the best time to visit with my children?
Taverham Mill makes a wonderful family day out all year round with plenty to see and explore. However, for activities designed especially for little ones, visit us during school holidays when they can enjoy our Easter egg trails, Halloween haunts and bug hunts.
Our other water parks also offer a wide range of activities, at Rutland Watersports Centre for example, children can learn a range of watersport skills including sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.
Our water parks not only bring vital water resources for the region, but they also provide a fantastic day out for all the family.
