Rutland Water offers a range of options for those looking to venture out on to the water including expert tuition, boat hire and access to Europe’s largest man-made lake.

Both members and visiting sailors can enjoy easy access to the water from the sailing club. Located on the South Shore at Edith Weston, at the club you will find:

Open day

An annual open day is held each June which offers those interested in learning more about the club and sailing, an opportunity to head out on the water in a variety of sailing boats. Visit the Rutland Sailing Club website for the latest information.

Rutland Water Sailing School

Offering expert tuition in dinghies, catamarans, keelboats and powerboats, the sailing school welcomes both experienced and novice sailors.

Staff are trained by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and offer a range of courses from introductory session to one-to-one tuition to develop your skills further.

For experienced sailors, boat hire is available and those with their own boats are welcome to bring their boat for a day of sailing.
