Fishing at Pitsford Water
Anglian Water trout fisheries to open from 1 April
Following the Prime Minister’s ‘road map’ announcement on 22 February, we can confirm that we are going to open Rutland, Grafham, Pitsford and Ravensthorpe waters for Fly fishing for Trout from bank and boat from the 1 April. Boat fishing will be for either single anglers or two anglers, but not three anglers sharing until further notice.
Special arrangements for boat and bank bookings 1 - 11 April
Based on the ‘road map’ the fishing lodges will be unable to open until 12 April at the earliest, so all boats booked between the 1 April and the 11 April will need to be pre-paid at the point of booking, the same as how we operated for much of last season.
Bank tickets can be purchased over the phone for 1 - 11 April (although we suggest leaving this closer to the date of your visit. Rutland and Pitsford vendor huts will be available upon opening for bank tickets.
Phone lines are now open for boat bookings
Our lodges are taking boat bookings over the phone 8am - 5pm 7 days a week.

With a beautiful setting and clear waters, Pitsford Water’s bank and boat fishing reputation has grown to be some of the best fly fishing for trout and predator fishing in the country.
The trout fishing season at Pitsford Water usually commences around the end of February and continues to 31 January. Surface feeding fish make things interesting from the banks at both ends of the season. And, with plenty of nooks, crannies, bays and points, the reservoir is full of surprises the year round, from bank or boat.
For those keen to hit the water, the Pitsford Water Fishing Lodge is your starting point for boats, permits, tackle and tuition. Contact us or call 01604 781350 for more information or to book your boat and why not pop over to our news page for the latest fishing reports from our waters.
