Rod Average - 3.0
The mild weather has certainly put the fish in the first foot of water and close into the bank. Anglers have reported some great sport from both boat and bank.
Bank - One angler had a great session from the harbour wall with 3 lovely Browns, 10lb 8oz, 6lb and one just over 4lb along with a few rainbows. Other anglers have reported catching from Church Bay, East Creek, Ernie’s Point, Stockie Bay, Whitwell Frontage and Sykes Lane Frontage.
One Angler had a lovely Rainbow from Ernies Point witnessed by one of our rangers estimated at 4lb and then another that was weighed at 9lb. Both caught on a floating line and both returned. Another angler had some great sessions on shrimp feeders catching on a single orange CDC on Sykes Lane frontage.
Boat - very consistent in front of the lodge and church bay, fishing being caught on floating lines to a di5. Humungas (black and gold) olive snake seeming to best but also floating lines with diawl Bach, hares ear and shrimp patterns also doing well.
With a cold snap on the way be prepared to go a little deeper.
Fur and Feather 1st of December for more information or to book call the lodge.
