Fish 555 (Season 19,082) Returns 150 (3,433) Rod average 3.7 (5.56)

Despite the grim weather conditions this last week, fish have still been feeding. Buzzer fishing is starting to tail off now and fish have been active on the jelly and pin fry and also on the pink shrimp. Best patterns to try for these are hares ear and silver Invicta and small shrimp patterns. Fish have also been feeding on olives and damsels. On the whole hoppers, damsels, crunchers, dries, hares ears and silver invictas will work.

Boat fishing has generally been down the bottom to middle of the south; cattle trough to Hideaway and Sailing Club to new Zealand Point. (Don’t forget the strict 50 metre exclusion off the Nature Reserve banks) and the top of the north around the Barnhill Armley Wood areas.

Bank fishing has been productive in Whitwell Creek, Church Bay and around the sailing club.
