Rutland Water Week Ending 15th September 2024

Rod Average - 3.0

Fish are still being caught in a number of areas of the reservoir, these include Barnsdale, Whitwell front, Yellowstones, New Zealand Point to the Lodge and Church Bay.

Fish are  still feeding on Snails, but most seem to be feeding hard on Shrimp.

Fish are being caught close in but also out over the deeper water so prospects are good for bank and boat anglers alike.

Again boat anglers reported using anything from floaters, with dries and nymphs, to various sinking lines, with boobies,  Blobs and nymph combinations.

Bank anglers reporting floating lines with dries and nymphs working best. Including cdc’s, shipmans and hares ear.

Please remember to upload your catch returns online along with any tactics used, you can also upload photos.
