On Sunday 2 November anglers took part in Ravensthorpe’s fur & feather pairs boat match with all boats recording 4 fish and several catching and releasing over 20 fish. The top pair recorded 4 fish for 13lb 12oz; second place took 4 fish for 12lb 8oz and third 4 fish for 12lb 2oz. The best fish of the match was a 3lb 14oz Rainbow.
After what has been a shorter than normal, but never the less excellent boat fishing season at Ravensthorpe, the boat fishing has now ceased until next year. Bank fishing will continue until 31 January and permits can either be purchased from the Ravensthorpe Vendor Hut (cash only) or over the telephone at Pitsford Fishing Lodge on 01604 781350 between 8am and 2pm.
