Anglers have enjoyed a big improvement in sport this week with plenty of hard fighting Rainbows being caught and a rod average of 8.4 for the week..

The best methods have been drifting across the main bowl using floating or midge tip lines. FAB on the point, diawl bachs, crunchers, buzzers or small nymphs or dries, hoppers, dabblers or small daddies.

Mick and John Spencer had a good day on Thursday with 17 fish to the boat, using FAB on the point and buzzers.

Invicta Fly Fishers had a fantastic day on Sunday with 18 anglers catching 177 fish for an average of 9.8 per rod. Top rod was Joan Russell with 22 fish, Gary How had 21 fish and David Moore had 20. David caught all his fish on dries. A really good day was had by all.
