Ravensthorpe Reservoir week ending 17 March

Rod average 6.5 (Season 10.1)

Due to high winds all week it’s been a quiet time with boats finally getting out on Sunday 18 March. The weather has now improved considerably.

Despite the high winds we had quite a few visits from bank anglers who chose to fish in the area of Platforms 2-5 due to the direction of the strong and gusty conditions. Between three of our regular bank anglers, who paid seven visits, 41 fish were landed, one of which weighed 13lb 11oz and fell to Kevin Daykin.

Now the weather is more settled boat angling will provide plenty of great sport as well as the bank.

Fishing Stats

Best Rainbow: 13lb 11oz taken by Kevin Daykin.

Best bank areas: In front of, or between, Platforms 1-4.

Midweek boat winner: Mark Bradbury of Northampton.
