Pitsford Water Week Ending 6th April 2025

Rod Average - 1.0

Pitsford is struggling in these weather conditions with the fish seeming to be reluctant to feed for much of the day.

There are huge numbers of buzzer coming off with anglers reporting shucks littering the water but the fish not responding.

Looking through the catch returns the best method has been to fish buzzer and bloodworm patterns but to fish them down at 10 feet or deeper either straight lined or under an indicator.
The most productive areas are within 30-40 yards of the shore along the Narrows, Sailing Club bank and the Pines.

Odd fish have been reported taking Shrimp patterns but for the most part it is buzzers with spooning of fish showing large numbers of buzzer in smaller sizes such as 14 and 16s.
