With good water clarity and damsels starting to show in big numbers the fishing continues to be excellent at Pitsford. All areas of the lake are fishing and the bank is fishing well too.
With snails and buzzers also in big numbers there is an abundance of food and the fish are actively feeding. One of the biggest Rainbows of the season was taken this week. This 10lb 5oz specimen was part of a 16 fish catch.
Our 3 day boat package continues to be popular with anglers visiting the area and one boat pair enjoyed two days at Pitsford catching 27 fish and catching and returning Browns at over 6lb on buzzers.
Expect the damsel sport to really take off over the next week or two so fish imitative patterns around the margins.
Best Rainbow: 10lb 5oz.
Best Brown: 6lb plus.
