Fish 981 (Season 2,737) Returns 136 (439) Rod average 7.2 (6.2)
136 anglers have caught 981 fish at Pitsford this week giving a fantastic rod average of 7.2.The bank is out fishing the boats because the fish are in the margins feeding on buzzer.
Boat anglers should try and fish in 10-12 feet of water using washing line tactics with small booby or FAB holding up size 12 buzzer or diawl bach.
The bank action has been fast and furious with several anglers reporting 30 to 40 fish in a session.
Fish can be seen in all areas and buzzer hatches have been incredible.
With mild overcast conditions set for the next few days the buzzer fishing will continue and hopefully the hatches in open water will encourage the fish and lead to even boat catches.
The small half of the lake re-opened for fishing on 1 April and has been stocked. This area can produce some quality overwintered fish.
