Pitsford Water Week Ending 27th October 2024

Rod Average - 2.0

It continues to be the same story at Pitsford with fish hard to come by unless you are tuned in to the method and areas. There does not seem to be any fry feeding going on and the back end Brown Trout are currently in the margins feeding on Shrimp.

Fishing tight to the shore on a floating line is far and away the most consistent method with small Shrimp and Snail type patterns working.
Bank anglers continue to catch with most not setting foot in the water as the fish are a rod length out from the shore.
Best areas are Sermons, Pines, Cliffs and Sailing club.

The best returns for the week from both boat and bank have been eight fish with Rainbows up to 4lb and Browns up to 6lb with all fish coming to Hares ear/shrimp patterns.
