Pitsford Water week ending 26th June

Fish Week 44 (Season 4172), Returns 14 (726) Rod average 3.1 (5.7)

After the weather cooled this week and after stocking on Monday, Pitsford has picked up with some good catches coming to the boats. On Thursday due to the overcast conditions which meant dries were working well, with one boat coming off the water at lunch time reporting double figures to the boat, all on dries.

Although the weekend was brighter, the fish stayed high in the water and were caught on washing line tactics and damsels. Despite the warm conditions the fish are high in the water, so floating lines or slow tip lines are the way to go. Although fish have been caught throughout the lake the dam/basin are where most anglers are catching, and of course in high temperatures the aerators can be relied upon to provide sport.

Bank fishing is best suited to the early mornings or evenings, wind permitting Pitsford Creek would be worth targeting, with catches reported there.
