Rod average week 4.0 (Season 5.0)

Fishing at Pitsford Water is becoming more consistent with both bank and boat anglers catching. The cooling temperatures have seen the Rainbows being more active.

Bank anglers have caught at Pitsford Creek and the Flats are a hot spot. Gravels and Sermons have all produced to shrimp or fry patterns.

Boat anglers have found fish a little more spread out with the Northfields, Stone Barn and Bog Bay holding fish.

The Pitsford Brown trout continue to be very active with several fish around the 5-6lb mark being reported. These fish are being tempted with fry patterns fished on intermediate lines.

The tried and trusted washing line method is the most popular method with FAB or booby on the point and small dark nymphs on droppers, or if around the margins, hares ear or shrimp patterns.

Pitsford Water is hosting its Fur & Feather match on Sunday 7 November. This is a pair’s boat match, to book a place please call the fishing lodge on 01604 781350.
