Pitsford Water week ending 15 November

Rod average 5.1 (5.7)

Pitsford's bank anglers have recorded an impressive 5.1 rod average for the week despite boat hire being suspended due to Covid restrictions. The best Rainbow of the week was a superb 9lb 4oz specimen which was carefully weighed and returned. The best bag of the week was taken on Sunday morning with 14 fish caught on a home tied humungus pattern, with the best fish weighing 4lb 8oz.

Floating lines and teams of nymphs and hares ear patterns are still the best method and all areas of the banks are holding fish although anglers prepared to keep on the move are faring better.

Bookings are now being taken for next season so to book a boat please telephone the Pitsford Fishing Lodge. We hope to resume boat fishing at Pitsford on 3 December, so long as the legislation permits us to do this.

Best Rainbow: 9lb 4oz.
