Fish 315 (Season 12,292) Returns 93 (2,620) Rod average 3.38 (4.7)

Pitsford Water has fished well again this week with a rod average of 3.4 and still plenty of quality fish being caught.

Doug Jones and Bob Aves reported two 6lb plus Browns caught and released. Both fish were in superb condition.

The bank fishing is good with fry and shrimp patterns on floating lines.

Boat anglers have found fish in deeper water again coming to fry and shrimp patterns.

Pitsford Fur and Feather

On Saturday the water hosted the annual Fur and Feather boat pairs match. An excellent turnout with 46 anglers fishing to a ten fish limit to the boat.

The top three pairs all had their ten fish limit. Rutland pair Graham Hayward and Rick Cooper won with a bag weight of 23lb 12oz. Second spot went to father and son Ashley and Tom Davis with a bag weight of 22lb 3oz. Third place was taken by local pair Terry Bayes and Pete Webb with 21lb. There were several fish over 3lb but the big fish prize went to Tim Joyce with a fish of 3lb 8oz.
