Fish 600 (season 3,982) Returns 109 (902) Rod average 5.5 (4.4)

Pitsford has fished extremely well this week with a rod average of 5.5 for the week. Most areas are fishing well from the boats but the bank fishing is proving more challenging.

Nymph tactics are still working best with buzzer, diawls and crunchers fished in teams being the best method.  When it is bright fish long leaders and let the flies get down but in overcast conditions washing line tactics work best.

The best Rainbow of the week was a 4lb 12oz specimen taken by Mick White. Several Browns between 3lb and 4lb were reported, but all returned.

On Sunday the water hosted the AMFC Group one match. 34 anglers fished, catching 208 fish for a rod average of 6.1. The top team on the day was Invicta with Invicta’s Kieran Bonas recording the top individual bag weight of 21lb 2oz.
