An important reminder for bank anglers
As the banks are busy with anglers, please can we all take the time to remember these simple rules when bank fishing our reservoirs:
Please ensure you have purchased a valid permit before you start fishing or have your season ticket available. We have increased our patrols and have found anglers without permits. There is no excuse for not having a valid permit and anglers are at risk of being banned from the fishery if caught. You can purchase a permit by telephoning the fishing lodges prior to when you want fish between 8am and 2pm or by using one of the vendor huts.
Please check behind you before backcasting. Walkers or cyclists including children might be in the area so it is essential that you check.
Fishing must cease at 4pm (what would have been boat in time) to give you time to check, clean, dry you nets, waders etc. at the wash down points.
Many thanks for observing these rules.
