Open House Grafham Water Saturday 16 February
Come and meet Anglian Water's fisheries team at our Open House at Grafham Water on Saturday 16 February from 10am to 3pm. Fisheries Manager Jon Marshall says “It's great to meet anglers from across the region and have a chat about the new season. One of the highlights will be the draw from last season's ticket returns which will see one lucky angler winning a Gold Season ticket to fish the 2019 season for free!"
There's also the opportunity to brush up on your casting skills with Peter Hartley our senior coach. Some of our suppliers will also be present.
We are offering 20% discount on all Grafham tackle shop purchases made on the day to customers who purchase a trout season ticket on 16 February (this offer is only available on 16 February).
Copies of our Hooked 2019 magazine will be available and season permits will be on sale.
Shrimp Masters Round 6 fished on Sunday 20 January
The final round of this popular bank series was fished on Sunday 20 January. Congratulations to Steve Cracknell who is the new Shrimpmaster. Steve fished consistently across the series and achieved three six fish limits which won him the last three rounds. Chris Mcleod was runner up with Dayood Sheik in third place.
Anglers enjoyed a meal at the Harbour café following the match. A new trophy was awarded to Steve, along with a boat voucher and Chris received a voucher.
David Moore, who helped organise the event says “69 rods caught 157 fish and the format seemed to work well. We would welcome any suggestions for next year”.
Fishing at Grafham continues to 31 January with the new season commencing on Friday 1 March.
We have an exciting match calendar planned for 2019 starting with the New Lodge Trophy for best fish on opening day 1 March.
